ABSTRACT
Ageing process has a socio-psycho-medical dimension, the differencies between elder people being more pronounced than the diffrencies between young people. This particularity is due to the elder people’s habits, to their professional experience, to their life experience, to their reaction towards illness, all of these facts contributing to a special social design of ageing process.
Elder people’s issue becomes more and more important to a national level, as well as to European level. Social policies regarding elder people must take into account their wishes, their oppinions but, also, their physical abilities.
