ABSTRACT
This paper tries to present the successive territorial and administrative reorganization of the North-Western Romanian counties (Maramureş, Sălaj, Satu-Mare, Cluj, Bihor) during several years: 1921, 1925/1926, 1938, 1940, 1945, 1950, 1967/1968). The territorial and administrative system in Transylvania has been changed over time due to several reasons, it has been modified, adapted, each of these changes holding in itself the seeds of the next discontentment and giving rise to the next reorganization project. After four decades since the last territorial and administrative reorganization, the problem is still an actual one.
